The poems and lyrics tumbled out, even before she could play that beautiful guitar, Love and Love Lost is a collection of 55 finely crafted poems is Lulu’s debut book, published by abracadabra press. Her writing, honest and deeply personal, sings us a song of love, sweet and bitter sweet. Romantic, funny, wistful, angry, sad, sexy, sentimental; these poems will resonate with anyone who has ever been in love or suffered a broken heart. Lulu invites the reader on a non-linear journey through the loves’ of her life, revealing the resilience of the human heart and inspiring the hopeful romantic in all of us.
Raised in Hawaii, Lulu was a combination of straight A student and beach girl. Leaving sand for ivy she attended Dartmouth College and then law school at Georgetown. She practiced business litigation and patent law with prestigious law firms in New York and San Francisco. “Tired of arguing,” she left the law for a while and armed with pigtails and a guitar she turned her focus on other endeavors, including her writing. Her journey continues as she gathers poems for her second book.
